Cable car trip to the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe

A trip to the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe completes a visit to the famous place of grace Mariazell. Only a few minutes away from the basilica, in the middle of the village center of Mariazell, is the valley station of the cable car. You do not need to cross a single step to reach the Bürgeralpe. There is also enough space for strollers and wheelchairs in the new panoramic gondolas.
The view from the Erzherzog-Johann-Aussichtswarte, one of the landmarks of the Mariazeller Land, into the surrounding mountain world is overwhelming and conveys all the beauty of the region.
Furthermore, there is the Holzknechtland, an amusement park in which one gets an interesting insight into the life of the woodcutter from back then, on the Bürgeralpe.
Around the mountain lake you can go on an expedition with the forest railway.
