Route description Gipfelklaenge 2024 - Saturday, September 7, 2024

The Saturday route of this year's Gipfelklaenge starts at 9:15 a.m. from the meeting point, former Ybbsitz station. After a sonorous start to the day, the joint hike begins through the picturesque village of Ybbsitz, past beautifully colorful houses up to the Haselsteinhof. Constant loyal companion: the impressive view over the multifaceted Mostviertel. From Haselsteinhof, the hike now continues along the trail up to the Prochenberg summit with the Prochenberg hut. Once at the top and after a refreshment, the viewing platform invites you to a 360° panoramic view far across the Mostviertel and beyond its borders. After the impressive views, nature at Prochenberg combines with a musical performance. The descent goes via Mitterlehen, along the Schmiedemeile back to Dr. Meyer Park in Ybbsitz, where the evening concert provides a worthy conclusion to the first day of this year's Gipfelklaenge. From Dr. Meyer Park to the starting point, former Ybbsitz station, it is about a 10-minute walk (estimated return here around 8:30 p.m.).
