The impressive square farm in the foothills of the Alps in Melk was first mentioned in 1640 and is now run by Diana & Markus Reiter, the fourth generation of the family to do so.
Since then, the farm has been busy tinkering, developing and renovating.
The managers are very proud of their own bottling plant in the Vierkanthof. Where they can manufacture their products themselves, independently and flexibly.
The company's own wood chip heating system, which is Co2 neutral for our environment, supplies the thermal energy for pasteurization. Some of the wood comes from our own forest.
The electricity for the entire production is obtained from the photovoltaic system on the roof of the large square farm.

The herbs for the drinks are hand-picked, harvested and processed in the company's own herb garden. Rue - also known as cola herb - forms the basis, together with high-quality spices, for the self-created BERGCOLA - without any caffeine. Lavender bushes, roses and chocolate mint also grow in the field alongside other herbs, which are processed into delicious syrups

The producers want to combine the traditional and the modern. The yellow gentian - a natural tonic due to its bitter substances - is the basis of the Echt vom Land tonic water product group.
