Kinderbuchhaus im Schneiderhäusl
Popis
The Children's Book House in the Schneiderhäusl was opened in August 2013 and has since become a versatile and lively book venue for all age groups, from the very young to the older readers. The Children's Book House houses a library of illustrated books, the annually changing exhibitions, the paper workshop and the rooms for the many events and training courses that are offered exclusively at this location.
In addition to the regular events and tailor-made offers for school classes, the Kinderbuchhaus is a unique training and further education center in Austria for all those interested in children's literature and art for children.
In 2014, the Kinderbuchhaus was awarded the Bank Austria Art Prize in the "Regional" category. The jury justified this with the words: "The symbiosis of children's program, training of educators, further education and promotion of artists makes the Kinderbuchhaus a unique project in Austria. We think holistically in terms of craftsmanship as well as networking and communication."
Hello sun, hello wind!
Hands-on exhibition on the subject of weather
The snowman is already on his way, the seagull is floating on the iceberg and the little boy can hardly wait to run out into the first snow with his grandpa. And are we going to help Mother Hulda shake out the beds to make it snow? Then it's time to do a little something beforehand:
Pick me, pick me, pick me,
for I am overripe, overripe, overripe...
Brothers Grimm: Mother Hulda
In the hands-on exhibition on the subject of weather, you can enjoy everything in one afternoon - sun, rain and wind. And even if it doesn't rain - a raindrop concert is always possible on the terrace.
Trippeltropf, where's the sun?
Drop by drop, who can see it?
The rain barrel sings merrily:
Oh, how beautiful life is!
Vera Ferra-Mikura: The rain barrel sings merrily, Jungbrunnen 1964
Come, come, come to the new hands-on exhibition "Hello sun, hello wind"! It takes its name from the book by Isabel Minhós Martins and Bernardo P. Carvalho, published by mixtvision 2023. In the book is the solar wind, perhaps also in our children's book house? Find out!
