da Bauernlodn - a good shop for everyone
Three young couples - all organic farmers - have founded a local grocery store in Kirchberg an der Pielach at Bahnhofstraße 2, which they call "da Bauernlodn". The company was founded in September 2018 and the store has been open since November 22, 2018.
The six young entrepreneurs - Christina and Michael Enne from Thalhof, Doris Fugger and Bernhard Heigl from Krinhof, Stefan Taschl and Betina Reisenbauer from Schoberhof - have known each other since they were young. They came together in 2017 after the local butcher's shop in Kirchberg an der Pielach closed down. They all felt that this had created a gap in local supply and exchanged ideas on how to close it again. By September 2018, the idea had matured to such an extent that the company "da Bauernlodn E.H.T. KG" was founded.
Through discussions with the mayor of Kirchberg, Anton Gonaus, as chairman of the LEADER region Mostviertel Mitte, the business foundation was funded as a LEADER project from EU, federal and state funds. (See: www.mostviertel-mitte.at)
