Details for: Hike to the Holzer service tree

Brief description

From Perschenegg, the path leads onto a ridge to the Ochsenburger Hut on Rudolfshöhe (Mon and Tue = closed days, Wed to Sun open at least from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

Description

Many service trees stand around the Gölsehof of the Büchinger family, which you reach after about 1.5 km of hiking. The crowning conclusion is the approximately 15 m high Holzer service tree, which stands about 600 m from the Ochsenburger Hut near the hiking trail. The mighty tree, standing freely in a meadow, is even visible from St. Pölten. Upon reaching the Holzer service tree, you either return or continue towards St. Pölten.
