From the Melk Valley to the Danube.

Description

The Melk River is your constant companion on this mostly flat and relaxing route. Over a distance of 31 kilometers, it leads from Oberndorf an der Melk via Ruprechtshofen, Zelking and Matzleinsdorf to the town of Melk, where it joins the Danube Cycle Path at the lift bridge and connects to the Pielach Valley Path. This is also the end of the journey for the Melk River. Relaxing rest areas in Lunzen and by the Mösel footbridge invite you to take a cycling break. Worth seeing are the panoramic view from Anzenberg and the bridge view at the Danube power plant Melk.
