Brief description

St. Pölten - Ebersdorf - Ober-Grafendorf - Dietmannsdorf - Weinburg - Hofstetten-Grünau - Mainburg  Rabenstein an der Pielach - Warth - Kirchberg an der Pielach

Description

The hike starts in St. Pölten, the state capital of Lower Austria. The pilgrimage walk begins at Maria Lourdes Church (in the north of St. Pölten – just a few steps from the main station). From there, it goes through the Kaiser or city forest via the Alpenbahnhof-Kaiserwald and further along the railway hiking trail to Ebersdorf, Ober-Grafendorf and then to Dietmannsdorf.

The hike continues to the village church in Weinburg and the Lourdes forest chapel. Shortly afterwards, the path joins the Pielachtal circular hiking trail no. 652, which leads to the parish church of Grünau in the market municipality of Hofstetten-Grünau.

Below the Hofstetten-Grünau cemetery, you meet the Pielachtal cycle path, which you follow to Mainburg. On hiking trail 4/1, you pass through Lustwald to Rabenstein with the baptismal church of Cardinal Franz König.

Via Steinklamm, you then reach Warth via the Cardinal König memorial trail. From here, follow the Pielachtal cycle path to Kirchberg an der Pielach.
