Description
On hiking trail 7/6, you ascend slowly from Schwarzenbach an der Pielach to the Wooden Church.
Then continue uphill to the White Cross at 1030m. Next follows the descent to the Reidl lifts and shortly after, a steep climb to Annaberg, the first “Holy Mountain”. Via the mountain path, you reach the local pilgrimage church.
From Annaberg, follow hiking route 06B/06 up to the Sabel, then on to Fadental and Hubertussee with the romantic Brother Klaus Church. Afterwards, continue to Walster and climb up to Habertheuersattel (1015m). The further path leads pilgrims to the Sebastiani Rosary Way, which leads directly to the Basilica of Mariazell.
Alternatively, on this last stage from Annaberg, you can also follow the Via Sacra via Joachimsberg, Josefsberg, and Mitterbach, or reach Mariazell via Bürgeralpe starting from Habertheuersattel.
