Route description Pilgrimage route to the Wooden Church 7/6
From Schwarzenbach southwards along the asphalt road, turn right at the petrol station (BIOLAND) and continue to the Haslaustube and the former sawmill. About 200 m after the sawmill, leave the asphalt road and turn left. Through a partly wild romantic landscape, the classic pilgrim route leads to the "Wooden Church", past a gem in the "Eitelgrün" below the fir forest. This is the place to find inner reflection and also to admire the beautiful altar! Below the wooden church is the Wet Hole and the approximately 3000 meter-long Dry Cave, the second longest in Lower Austria.
With the almost 300 m climb to the "Wooden Church", the route also offers a somewhat strenuous part, otherwise you walk an idyllic, especially quiet path that leads partly through our beautiful forests and offers extensive sunny sections.
After reaching the church, you can return or continue hiking to Annaberg.
