Route description To the Hubertus chapel
Starting from Seitenstetten Abbey, the path first leads to the Meierhof car park. From there, follow the south side of the Meierhof heading southwest, past the wayside cross, to Kollersberg. Turn right here, cross the Treffling bridge, and continue right towards the town center.
The path gently ascends via Berggasse up to Michaeler Straße. After about 350 meters uphill, turn left onto a field path. After crossing the state road LH 88, continue along a meadow path to Großweinberg farm. A beautiful row of trees accompanies the route over meadows up to the forest edge. Along this edge, walk towards Gaisbichl farm. Just before the farm, turn right and reach a cross with a seating area.
Continue along a meadow ditch past Felberbauer farm to a paved agricultural road. This leads uphill through a small woodland, passing a four-sided farm building on the right. After the second house, a gravel path begins with repeatedly magnificent views to the north – all the way to the Danube and beyond. After about 500 meters, turn left onto a meadow path and after approximately 350 meters reach an asphalt road.
Now follow the agricultural road for about 1 km, passing through a forested area up to the state road, where the first houses of St. Michael become visible.
If you like, stop immediately at Gasthaus Mitterböck. Turn right there (directly at the church).
If you want to go to the Hubertus chapel, walk about 250 meters uphill on the left, then turn right and after about 100 meters left onto a meadow path.
The path leads past a farm and continues to a small chapel. Turn right here and you will reach the destination, the idyllic Hubertus chapel.
The return is along the same route.
