The Parapluiberg and the Wohnhöhle are two highlights of this hiking route. Past vineyards of the Traisental wine region, along the forest edge and through charming villages with playgrounds, the circular route characterized by scenic beauty leads back to the starting point. Benches and tables for resting are available at Parapluiberg and at the Wohnhöhle.
Description
Starting from Nußdorf, the path leads uphill through vineyards and orchards to the viewpoint at Parapluiberg and further to the Wohnhöhle. From both locations, you have a magnificent view over the Traisental wine region to the foothills of the Alps or even to the Danube valley and Tullner field. The return goes via Reichersdorf continuing over Neuweg and Weinbergweg back to Nußdorf, with playgrounds for children enriching the hike. Upon returning to the starting point, various Heurige (wine taverns) or an inn are recommended to refresh yourself. There is also nothing standing in the way of buying wine or fruit juices from many top producers or the village shop; information can be found at your hike’s starting point.

Via the A1 motorway and the S33 to Nußdorf ob der Traisen – exit "Traismauer South"
Parking
In front of the town hall in Nußdorf or in the immediate vicinity.
By train to Traismauer or Herzogenburg and then by bus to Nußdorf ob der Traisen.
By bus coming from Vienna via Traismauer or from St. Pölten.

Good footwear, binoculars, camera, and plenty of leisurely time make this hike an experience.
