Weinbau Miestinger

Description

The Miestinger family's winemaking tradition dates back to the 19th century. They currently cultivate around 2.5 hectares of vineyards with the varieties Grüne Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Blauer Portugieser and Zweigelt.

The vines grow on the conglomerate soils typical of the Traisental, which give the wines a typical mineral and spicy note. The Grüne Veltliner thrives in the Alte Setzen vineyard, one of the best-known vineyards in the Traisental.

The vineyards are carefully cultivated and the soil is carefully worked, followed by manual harvesting and conscientious processing in the cellar. The wines can be purchased and tasted from the farm by appointment. Furthermore, at various events such as Wine Spring, Whitsun Festival in Nussdorf Castle Gardens, Reichersdorf Wine Cellar Lane Festival and at the Advent market in Reichersdorf Cellar Lane. The wines are also available in Linz at the Südbahnhofmarkt (every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month).
