The Donau Lodge opened its doors in July 2019 and impresses with its spacious, air-conditioned rooms, most of which have balconies or terraces, as well as its unique location directly on the Danube cycle path, directly on Europe's longest river. Built in modern, sustainable timber construction, the Donau Lodge offers free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, barrier-free access to all floors and two rooms with disabled access.

Right in the center and yet in the countryside - close to the main traffic arteries, not far from Vienna, Linz, St. Pölten and Krems and yet in the middle of the gentle nature of the Danube Valley - this is where the Donau Lodge and the Babenbergerhof are located. Regionality and sustainability are matters close to Karin and Ernst Gruber-Rosenberger's hearts. Since 2009, the Babenbergerhof in l(i)ebenswerten Ybbs an der Donau has been pampering Ybbs residents, people from the region as well as day tourists, holidaymakers and business customers.

The steadily increasing demand prompted the hosts to have a modern and functional hotel built in timber construction in a unique location. Right next to the Babenbergerhof, directly on the Danube, directly on the Danube cycle path and yet in the middle of the old town of Ybbs, the Donau Lodge impresses with its fascinating architecture. Spacious rooms, mostly with a terrace and an unobstructed view of the Danube, and two functional seminar rooms invite you to linger. In the light-flooded breakfast room, guests can look out over Europe's longest river and go on an adventure with the passing ships. Strengthened with delicacies from the region, you can discover the varied surroundings or stroll through the medieval Danube town.

E-bike and scooter rental, hiking maps, bike guides and much more are on offer. Cooperation partners include the leisure center with indoor pool and sauna, a fitness studio, golf courses and a wine shop. An exercise park directly on the Danube is within walking distance and invites you to linger and have fun. The Danube cycle path directly in front of the house is ideal not only for cycling but also for running tours. Due to the proximity to countless monasteries and castles, culture lovers can also enjoy their free time in Ybbs an der Donau.

The light-flooded breakfast and lounge area serves a panoramic breakfast and cakes, coffee and various snacks during the day. Regional and international delicacies are lovingly prepared in the Babenbergerhof, the a la carte restaurant.
