Hochriess Wildlife Park
Animal adventures

Description
The Hochrieß Wildlife Park is located between Wieselburg and Purgstall - a near-natural excursion destination for the whole family. Since its redesign in 2022, the approximately 23-hectare site has been a modern adventure park with new enclosures, a 1.8-kilometre circular trail, panorama square and large play area. There is also a children's puzzle pass for playful discovery.
The park is home to around 45 animal species. Fallow deer, sika deer, red deer and mouflons move around in spacious enclosures almost like in the wild. Some animals can also be fed - automatic feeders with suitable food are available in front of the enclosures. A petting enclosure with goats and a wildlife enclosure allow direct contact with animals such as mouflons and sikka deer.
Each season gives the park its own charm:
- The first young animals appear in spring.
- In summer, the adventure playground, shade and water areas invite visitors to linger.
- In the fall, the impressive rutting season of the deer can be observed.
- In winter, large red deer delight visitors at feeding time.
All year round, the Gasthaus im Park invites you to enjoy traditional Mostviertel cuisine and homemade desserts.
