Kaiser Franz Josef Jubiläumsbrunnen
Description
The Emperor Franz Joseph Jubilee Fountain was ceremonially put into operation together with the first central water supply in 1898. The fountain in front of the town hall was dedicated to Emperor Franz Joseph on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his reign.
The central water supply now comprised 300 water outlets for drinking and industrial water and sixteen hydrants. The hygiene of the old pipes and the springs on both sides of the Erlauf had already been very inadequate.
