“Kaiserin Elisabeth” observatory
Climbing, Lookout tower, Scenic lookout
Description
The 18.5-metre-high viewing tower on the Plattenberg was opened back in 1900 and offers a unique view of the Alpine foothills at 750 meters above sea level. Freshly renovated, the observation tower is an ideal excursion destination for the whole family and offers action, culture and relaxation in nature. The latest attraction is the "Rock the Sissi" climbing experience.
Because it doesn't always have to be a mountain to climb! Experienced climbers can scale the 15.5-metre-high walls of the Kaiserin Elisabeth-Warte on the 12 color-clear routes. An indescribable view of the Cider, Mühl and Traunviertel regions as well as the Alpine foothills awaits the hard-working athletes at the top. Contact : klettern.elisabethwarte@gmx.at
In addition to climbing fun, there are also numerous mountain bike and hiking trails around the Warte. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, take a picnic basket and enjoy a delicious Mostviertel snack on the meadow. Further information: www.elisabethwarte.at
