Turquoise-green and crystal clear: Lake Erlauf near Mitterbach lies at the foot of the mountains Gemeindealpe and Styrian Bürgeralpe. Therefore, it constitutes the connecting point between the states of Lower Austria and Styria. And on top of that, famous pilgrimage destination Marizell is only a stone's throw from there.
With its 58 hectares of extensive surface, the picturesque mountain lake is perfect for swimming, boating, fishing and diving. It is also a popular destination for daytrips and holidays amidst one of the most beautiful hiking areas of the Mostviertel region.
