Museum ERLAUF ERINNERT

To commemorate the end of the Second World War 70 years ago, a new museum was built in Erlauf: Erlauf remembers. It combines contemporary history, a culture of remembrance and contemporary art.

The ERLAUF ERINNERT museum deals with the history of the Second World War and the end of the war, National Socialism and its consequences, the culture of remembrance and the impact of contemporary art, which has a long tradition in the public space of Erlauf. All of these topics are dealt with in the newly created exhibition using the example of the small town of Erlauf, making it easy to convey and addressing in particular the following generations, who have little personal connection to the time of the Nazi regime and the war in Europe.
