Ideally situated between the Mariazell railway and the Ötschergräben, Wienerbruck and the Ötscher-Basis Nature Park Centre located there have developed over the years into the most popular entry point to the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park.
The Ötscher base houses a restaurant with a lake terrace and a shop. Outside there are beautifully designed places to linger and play. The Ötscher-Basis is also an information centre and starting point for excursions in the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park. Hikes and explorations start from here, if desired also accompanied by trained nature guides who know many an exciting story about the Ötscher and its special nature.
The Ötscher Tower
The roof terrace gives a wonderful overview of the Ötscher base, reservoir and surrounding terrain. The flying classroom offers seminars and programmes where research can be done. The final nature workshop with open-air class invites you to immerse yourself in the local flora and fauna.
