Poldlwarte Schwerbach in Kirchberg an der Pielach

Lookout tower, Scenic lookout

Description

Observation point at 580 m above sea level with a view of the Dirndl Valley.

The Poldlwarte, also known as the Leopoldswarte, is located two kilometers from Kirchberg. It was built in 1931. It fell into disrepair after 1945. It was rebuilt at the end of the 1990s.

From the Poldlwarte, especially in winter, when the deciduous forest is bare of leaves, there is a magnificent view: Schwerbach can be seen below the lookout, with the Kühberg and the Bichelberg to the left rising up behind it. To the west, the view extends as far as the Weissenburg ruins.
