Tangente St. Pölten - Festival for Contemporary Culture presents visual arts, theatre, performances, music, literature as well as science and discourse formats from 30 April to 6 October 2024. Contemporary issues will take centre stage: ecology, remembrance and democracy. The festival will take place throughout the Lower Austrian capital - the festival centre, special venues, new infrastructure projects and St. Pölten's existing cultural and educational institutions will become the setting for national and international projects.

Monday, 29 April 2024
> Arrival in St. Pölten at your booked hotel. Here you will receive the new St. Pölten Museum Card. One card for all museums in the city - Museum Niederösterreich, St. Pölten City Museum, Museum am Dom, former St. Pölten Synagogue, Children's Art Lab (from July)
> 15:30 - Visit to "Café Pusch" - coffee and cake at Café Pusch (original St. Pölten Brandtauer cake and a Viennese Melange, or cup of tea)

> 14:00 - "The Way of the Water", programme duration: 4h. The "art trail" follows the course of the city's rivers and shows around 24 artistic positions. Second part of the route with artistic interventions on the "Way of the Water", followed by an evening programme with lectures and talks.
> 21:00 - Kali Malone (Organ Experimental) St. Pölten Cathedral, programme duration: 1 ½ h. In addition to her work as a composer and musician, Kali Malone used to tune and repair pipe organs. Today, the Stockholm-based American brings new compositions and existing organ works from her portfolio.

> 10.37 a.m. Departure on the Mariazell railway from St. Pölten to Kirchberg an der Pielach, the idyllic "Dirndl Valley", named after the Dirndl fruit, which thrives particularly well here.
> 11.14 a.m., arrival in Kirchberg, with a shuttle to the Fuxsteiner family - 1st Dirndl manufactory. At the Dirndlmanufaktur, you can take a look behind the scenes of the distillery and manufactory and experience at first hand how the fiery red wild fruits are processed into chutney, jam or schnapps, for example.
