As part of the Lower Austrian Provincial Exhibition 2026, Sankt Valentin is opening a new museum branch in the adjacent post office building. The exhibition focuses on the years 1938-1945 with an emphasis on the Nibelungenwerk, the largest tank factory of the Nazi regime, as well as the nearby subcamp of the Mauthausen concentration camp. The role of Sankt Valentin under National Socialism is impressively illuminated with eyewitness accounts, a documentary film, pictures, original exhibits and display boards. Responsible for the content is historian Josef Reisinger, curator is Uta Matschiner.
