Description

Where the Vienna Woods merge into the Mostviertel, the wild service tree is at home. The small, dark red berry is expertly prepared in the kitchen of Landgasthof Schüller in Hainfeld. The sour-sweet fruit gives the seasonal dishes in the family-run inn an unmistakable taste. Incidentally, the berries harmonize perfectly with game dishes. The stuffed venison roulade with porcini mushroom and breadcrumb filling on wild service berry sauce confirms this. The fruit can also be tasted in high-proof spirits. Father and son are at work in the kitchen, pursuing a cross-generational goal: to establish the Landgasthof Zum Schüller as a culinary powerhouse in the Mostviertel region. And this much can be revealed: They have succeeded.

An all-round enjoyable stay at the country inn

The Schüller family's inn has been showcasing the best of the region's culinary delights since 2007. The country inn in a prime location is often booked for celebrations. The magnificent banqueting hall with conservatory offers space for up to 200 people. Lively conversations usually take place on the covered terrace. In case it gets late: The Landgasthof Schüller has micro-hotels. The name is a little deceptive. At 25 square meters, the high-quality rooms are larger than expected.
