From the Kothmühle this path leads uphill along the road through the narrow valley of the Lixingbach and then turns left onto a forest path and over lonely meadows to Pauxberg. Over a ridge along the road it continues to Handlesberg, from there via the Rotten Latzelsberg and Engelsberg back into the Lixingbach valley to the Kothmühle.

Motorway A1 exit Amstetten West - B1 towards Ybbs - at the 3rd roundabout follow the signs to Winklarn and then Neuhofen/Ybbs.

Take the Westbahn to Amstetten station, then from Amstetten by bus to Neuhofen/Ybbs
