Gasthaus zum Grünen Baum - Kummer

The house, which has been owned by the Kummer family since 1965, was first mentioned in 1665. The former Pfannenschmiede, where an inn has stood since the mid-19th century, was replaced by the current building in 1975 and renovated in 3 phases (1992, 1996 and 2003). In 2008, a whisky parlor was added to the inn, which is situated above the small Erlauf river. The modern, comfortable rooms in the outbuilding directly on the Erlauf river are probably some of the most beautiful guest rooms in the small Erlauf valley.

The young generation has set itself the task of combining tradition, coziness, artistic aspects and the demands of the 21st century, as well as setting culinary accents. The menu is characterized by innovative, seasonal dishes, especially recommended is the cozy guest garden, where in summer (always on Fridays) experience barbecue evenings take place. In Gresten and the surrounding area, the Kummer family is also known for the particularly high quality of catering events.
