With home-style cooking and a good glass of wine from the Kamp Valley ("Kamptal") we would like to offer you a few pleasant hours in our house!
An inn is important for a healthy village life. It is a meeting place for young and old. It is a place of communication. Customs and traditions such as balls, regulars' tables, morning pints etc. are kept alive. When the last inn closes and there are no more local suppliers in the village, it dies.
Around 1840, a stately tavern was opened in our house. The tavern owner at the time, Franz Richter, bought it and converted the tavern into an inn. Over the course of time, different families have owned the house through sale or marriage. This was also the case with us. In 1987 we were still tenants, but this changed when we bought it in 1989. Since 1990 we have been renovating and modernizing the inn bit by bit. Parts of our inn, especially the old vaulted cellar, have existed for over 200 years.
