Description
As the central elevation of the Traisen valleys in Lower Austria, the Traisenberg rises a stately 1,230 meters high. Its spacious massif covers over 30 km². A total of five peaks rise from it. Scattered forest roads and paths lead through the mainly wooded mountain massif.
The Zdarsky hut on the Traisenberg, located at 1,082 meters, invites you to stop: with a variety of flowers, a playground, and nearly 40 overnight places.
Pauli the fire salamander accompanies children and hikers on the way. On several boards, he tells exciting stories about life, flora and fauna, and the correct behavior on the mountain.
