Familie Marchhart
Company / plant tour
Description
For 49 years, Theresia Marchhart sold the honey she produced herself in the little "wooden house", as customers affectionately called it. In 2009, the generation change took place and the "market time" began for Edith and Helmut Marchhart when they took over the beekeeping business.
Our 100 beehives in Michelbach, Kropfsdorf, Brand Laaben and Besenbuch produce blossom and forest honey of the highest quality. Propolis drops, propolis creams and pollen round off the beekeeping range.
Our farm is located in the heart of the Dunkelsteinerwald. We have been breeding highland cattle here since 1999. The Highland cattle originally come from Scotland and are kept outdoors all year round on approx. 10 hectares of pasture. The calves live with the suckler cows, which are not milked. This means that the healthy mother's milk stays with the young animals. We do not use chemical pesticides, artificial fertilizers, concentrates or fattening feed.
The meat of the slow-grown animals is short-fibred, slightly marbled and contains little fat. It is matured for approx. 21 days after slaughter and only then sold.
We discovered our love of barbecuing 5 years ago. After training as certified AMA barbecue trainers with Rene and Helmut Marchhart, the Marchhart barbecue team was founded. Since then we have also been barbecuing for you on the market.
