Good to know:
In 1905, Mathias Zdarsky held the first gate race in alpine skiing history on the Muckenkogel. Until today the mountain reminds of this historic event: On the one hand the Mathias Zdarsky Panorama Trail runs as a circular route from the mountain station via Muckenkogel and Hinteralm and back via Klosteralm. On the other hand, Mathias Zdarsky's most important inventions are presented on the theme trail of the Mathias Zdarsky inventors' path - using models true to the original.
