Marktgemeinde Ardagger

The market town of Ardagger - also known as the gateway to Strudengau - is nestled between the Danube and the hills of the Mostviertel and the Moststraße. From Kollmitzberg, the highest point in the municipality, you can see the entire Alpine foothills all the way to the Ötscher. Only around 5 km from Amstetten, the region's central transport and shopping hub, Ardagger offers all modern infrastructural facilities in a peaceful, rural setting.

Ardagger is particularly characterized by its 4 cadastral communities: Ardagger Stift (the cultural center and "Moststraßendorf"), Kollmitzberg (the lookout and pilgrimage mountain), Ardagger Markt (the local shopping and cycling center) and Stephanshart (Moststrassenort on the Danube cycle path). Historical and modern cultural delights and museums are on offer, as are sports and leisure activities on the Danube and culinary delights based on Cider in cozy inns.
