Schwarzenbach an der Pielach
Schwarzenbach, the quiet village at the source of the Pielach, offers unadulterated relaxation in the idyllic Dirndl Valley. The most densely wooded municipality on the Mariazell Railway invites you to go hiking in the upper Pielach Valley. The "Dry Cave", the Stuppacheben Mill and the "Little Wooden Church" on the classic pilgrimage route via Annaberg to Mariazell are well-known to many holidaymakers, even beyond the borders of the region. Another popular hiking destination is the Eisenstein. The Geißenberg is an Eldorado for winter and snowshoe hikes and ski tours. Details of the hikes can be found in the Schwarzenbach/Pielach hiking map.
As Schwarzenbach an der Pielach train station is located outside the village, a cab service is recommended for public transportation. For more information, please contact the municipality of Schwarzenbach.
