Stössing: hiking vacations for young and old
Numerous easy and moderate hiking trails lead across lush meadows and through untouched forests. The Hegerberg is a real excursion mountain: the 655-metre-high elevation is easy to hike from Stössing - especially with children. The tour up the Hegerberg offers refreshing panoramic views and leads past exciting old farmsteads. The Great Stössing Circular Hike, which takes around seven hours, is a little more challenging and longer - with several refreshment stops along the way. If you prefer, you can choose a shorter option with the Small Circular Hiking Trail.

Sights in Stössing
Historic aqueducts and picturesque chapels are dotted around the municipality. The medieval parish church of St. Ägyd with its late Gothic and Baroque elements is well worth a visit. At the cemetery in the village of Hochstraß, there are seven beautifully designed tabernacle wayside shrines by the artist Inge Naske. They represent the Seven Joys of Mary.
