Wang
In Wang and its immediate surroundings you will find varied recreational areas and a wide range of leisure facilities. Wang offers those seeking relaxation an ideal starting point for varied and interesting hikes. From the hills you can soon enjoy magnificent views of the wide Erlauf and Ybbstal valleys.
We are particularly proud of the certificate of market elevation awarded in 1538 and the original coat of arms awarded in 1605. The castle with a beautiful arcaded courtyard, the bell tower and a pillory form the focal point of the village center. The lovingly designed village square with its shady squares and the renovated Meierhof serve as an event center. Other sights include the 1000-year-old oak tree at Ebenbauer and the newly renovated St. Nicholas Church in Pyhrafeld, which was mentioned in documents as early as 1300.
Sports facilities include two tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, asphalt rinks and an indoor curling rink. Cycling enthusiasts can set off from Wang on the Kleine Erlauftal cycle path in the direction of the Danube or Kienberg/Gaming.
