Trade fair city & educational metropolis

The Wieselburg Trade Fair plays a large part in the vibrant town life. It is an invaluable image booster for the municipality both at home and abroad. Numerous events, such as Bau & Energie, Ab Hof, the new hunting and fishing fair and the flagship Wieselburg Inter Agrar trade fair with its popular folk festival, have become a trademark for the brewing town of Wieselburg.

Wieselburg can rightly call itself a school and education metropolis. In addition to the primary, secondary, special and music schools as well as the Wieselburg grammar school, the municipality has also presented itself as a university town since 1999 thanks to the installation and establishment of the University of Applied Sciences. Wieselburg has also been involved in the adult education sector for over 40 years. The adult education center, which has been a member of the Volkshochschule Österreichs since 2003/2004, offers numerous language and IT courses, courses on body, mind and movement as well as lots of fun every year. The main goal of the Volkshochschule Wieselburg is to awaken and maintain the willingness of the population for lifelong learning.

Leisure & cultural activities in Wieselburg

Wieselburg is a popular destination for young and old. Social interaction is a top priority and there are numerous exciting leisure activities for all age groups. Over 50 active clubs and numerous private organizers guarantee a varied range of leisure, cultural and sports activities. In recent years, Wieselburg has grown into a town with a guaranteed feel-good factor. A modern outdoor pool with diving platform, sports pool, giant slide and current channel in combination with a children's adventure zone, mini golf course, beach volleyball court and table tennis courts guarantee relaxation, fun and action. The new sauna and wellness world in the leisure center is the showpiece of the recreation sector and an oasis of well-being outside the city center.

In the cultural sector, the Wieselburg cultural platform "kulturERleben" has made a name for itself. With the cultural initiative "halle2", another committed group has set itself the goal of sustainably strengthening the up-and-coming cultural scene in Wieselburg with numerous events. The offer is completed by the brewery museum in the Wieselburg brewery and the museum of prehistory and early history in the Wieselburg market castle.
