The artistically significant Steinakirchen parish church was built at the end of the 15th/beginning of the 16th century according to a uniform plan and has internal dimensions of 36.85 m long, 13 m wide and 13.40 m high. In plan, the church appears to have three naves. The free-standing pillars are positioned close to the wall, so that it is already clear from the floor plan that there are no real side aisles. In terms of construction, it is a pilaster church with a star-ribbed vault. The continuous round gallery is particularly noteworthy. Apart from Steinakirchen, this type of construction can only be found in the church of St. Martin in Amberg in the Upper Palatinate and in the castle church of St. Magdalena in Moritzburg in Halle an der Saale.
