The small inn directly behind the Mariazell Basilica has existed since 1667 and is one of the oldest establishments in Mariazell. In the cozy restaurant with parlor and small guest garden, the team of chef Monika Kerschbaumer serves home-style cooking, regional classics such as "Steirisches Backhenderl", homemade pizzas and crisp, fresh salads. Wine connoisseurs appreciate the good selection of quality Styrian and Lower Austrian wines.

The restaurant seats around 65 people, while the Stüberl can accommodate a further 20 guests. In summer, the guest garden can also be used by around 20 guests. Ideal for celebrations of all kinds. In addition to the restaurant, the "Goldener Stiefel" also has several guest rooms. They are designed with a lot of love and according to Feng Shui, non-smoking rooms and each equipped with shower, WC, cable TV and mostly with minibar.

Public transport - easy & convenient
Travel relaxed with the Mariazell train. It is approx. 1.2 km on foot from Mariazell train station to your accommodation. Your hosts can organize a transfer from the train station directly to your accommodation on request.
