Gafringwirt

Description
Cider was long regarded as a rustic farmer's drink. The fact that it is experiencing a renaissance today is thanks to innovative minds such as the cider barons. Johann Hochholzer is one of them. Together with his wife Alexandra Hochholzer, he runs the Gafringwirt in Euratsfeld in the Amstetten district. Mostviertel specialties can be found on the menu from A to Z. Nature provides the fresh ingredients. True treasures are revealed in the vaulted cellar, where cider, brandies and wines are stored. They are considered wonderful accompaniments to the light, hearty and mostly seasonal delicacies.
Pear tree giants and pub classics
For three generations now, the Gafringwirt has been the epitome of Mostviertel hospitality and fine cuisine. Since 1987, the Hochholzer family has brilliantly managed the balancing act between simple dishes and more sophisticated multi-course menus. The inn itself is furnished with stylish natural materials. Anything else would be surprising in such a diverse and nature-loving Mostviertel region with its gentle and deeply rooted pear tree giants. Thanks to the adjoining hotel, the Gafringwirt also welcomes vacationers and business guests. For the way home or as a souvenir, farm-gate products such as Cider, cider and fine brandies are available.
