From Perschenegg, the trail leads up a ridge to the Ochsenburgerhütte on the Rudolfshöhe (Mon and Tue = rest days, Wed to Sun at least 10 am - 7 pm).

There are many service trees around the Büchinger family's Gölsenhof farm, which can be reached after a 1.5 km hike. The crowning glory is the 15-metre-high Holzer service tree, which stands approx. 600 m from the Ochsenburgerhütte near the hiking trail. The mighty tree standing free in a meadow can even be seen from St. Pölten. Once you reach the Holzer wild service tree, you can either return or continue in the direction of St. Pölten.
