The Kothmühlenweg in Neuhofen an der Ybbs is a real insider tip for anyone who wants to combine nature, tranquillity and gentle exercise. The route leads you along a variety of paths through idyllic meadows, shady forests and along babbling waters.
The trail is easy to walk on and is suitable for both relaxed strolls and extended hikes. Accompanied by the scent of nature and the calming sound of the surroundings, it is a wonderful way to leave everyday life behind. Once you're out and about, you'll soon realize that the Kothmühlenweg is not just a hiking trail, but an invitation to experience the region with all your senses.

From the Kothmühle this path leads uphill along the road through the narrow valley of the Lixingbach and then turns left onto a forest path and over lonely meadows to Pauxberg. Over a ridge along the road it continues to Handlesberg, from there via the Rotten Latzelsberg and Engelsberg back into the Lixingbach valley to the Kothmühle.
There are various parking lots in the municipality. Please follow the signs.
Motorway A1 exit Amstetten West - B1 towards Ybbs - at the 3rd roundabout follow the signs to Winklarn and then Neuhofen/Ybbs.
Take the Westbahn to Amstetten station, then from Amstetten by bus to Neuhofen/Ybbs
