Mendlingtal - Eisenwiesen - Hammer - Lassing

The hike leads from the village pond in Lassing down the federal road into the “Mendlingtal adventure world.” Through the adventure world, you walk about 1 hour to the “Hammer manor house.” From the Hammer manor house in the courtyard, the path leads right on the asphalt road back towards Lassing. After about 800 m, a meadow path branches off to the left towards Schwölleckau–Eisenwiesen (834 m above sea level). From here, it goes downhill along the asphalt road to the Lacken farmhouse (Highland cattle). A cider tavern is open on certain days. www.biobauernhof-lacken.at

In front of the farm to the right, past a farm building, it goes into the forest. Following the forest road and the marker downhill, you reach the Hammerau holiday barn and further down the Hammer inn. (Bus stop)

From the Hammer inn to Lassing: After the 2nd bridge, turn left upstream - here it goes uphill to the Kerschbaum property, then a meadow path branches off to the right. After about 500 m, this is replaced by a marked forest trail that leads into a forest road: on this, you go along above the Schoberbach stream to the bridge over the Schoberbach. Cross the bridge and continue along the forest road until it leads into an asphalt road, on which you hike down into the valley. Shortly before the bridge to the federal road (bus stop Kothleiten), turn left. After about 350 m turn right and along the stream to the Hochkar-Alpenstraße. Then right on the Alpenstraße to a short ascent. Soon the view opens on Lassing and the Gr. Buchstein, past the farms Lassingbauer and Plachl, to the B 25 and further to the starting point of the circular hike.

Variants:

• _On the so-called Hofstraße from Lassing about 2 km over the hilltop towards Hollenstein to the right-side entrance to the meadow path Schwölleckau – Eisenwiesen.
• _Over Schwölleck from Lassing a short way uphill along the Hofstraße and at the first junction to the right along the forest road further on the marked trail over Schwölleck (1069 m)
  Tip: before going downhill again, take a short stretch straight ahead on the forest road to the memorial cross and then back to Eisenwiesen (additional 235 m elevation gain)
