Starting from Zellerrain (parking lot opposite the former inn), the tour begins along a forest road. Once you reach the Höchbauer, a hiking trail leads across the meadow up to the forest and on to the Brunnsteinalm, where you come to a forest road again. Follow this road for around 1.5 km to the 'Auf der Brach' mountain pasture (Halterhütte hut open in summer). The crossing from the Brach to the Halterriedel can be a bit of a challenge in winter, depending on the snow conditions. However, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the neighboring Ötscher from here. The last stage to the summit now leads steeply uphill in several serpentines. Before you stop for a well-earned snack at the Terzerhaus, you should take the few minutes to hike to the summit cross.

Starting from Zellerrain (parking lot opposite the former guesthouse), the route initially follows a forest road. Upon reaching Höchbauer, a hiking trail leads over the meadow up to the forest and further on to Brunnsteinalm, where the forest road is reached again. Following this, after about 1.5 km, you arrive at the alpine pasture 'Auf der Brach' (a managed hunter's hut in summer). Crossing from Brach to Halterriedel can be a small challenge in winter depending on the snow conditions. In return, you enjoy a wonderful view of the neighboring Ötscher. The final stage to the summit then climbs steeply in several switchbacks. Before stopping for a well-deserved snack at the Terzerhaus, take a few minutes to hike to the summit cross.
