Details for: Fabulous birdlife on the Gölsen - cycling for kids

Brief description

Explore the local bird and animal life along the Gölsen and finish by jumping into the cool water in Hainfeld – the perfect outing for the whole family.

Description

The route in St. Veit begins with a beautiful view from the Lower Traisen Valley across the Danube Valley to the beginnings of the Waldviertel. The surrounding area is characterized by farmland, mountain farms, and forest. After leaving the town, you can observe grey herons next to the playground. Beavers also shape the landscape along the route – can you find their traces? Shortly before Rohrbach, wild ducks can often be seen at the playground. While passing through Rohrbach, look to the right on a company roof for a stork's nest! Finally, numerous ducks gather around the playground in Hainfeld. A visit to the Hainfeld public swimming pool provides cooling off and refreshing fun.
