Details for: Königshufenweg
Brief description
The Ostarrichi-Königshufenweg is a recreational, play, and learning space for all age groups. Observing and experiencing nature there is meant to encourage people to pause, develop emerging ideas further, and put their own ideas into practice. The Ostarrichi-Königshufenweg encompasses the municipality of Neuhofen/Ybbs and offers various stations as resting places, such as the Earth-Fire Garden or the "Place of Forgotten Peoples." The Königshufenweg is about 18 km long and showcases typical Mostviertel culture.
Description
The path leads from the flat landscape around Neuhofen an der Ybbs along the Moststraße, past the Earth-Fire Garden, the "Place of Forgotten Peoples", transitioning into the hilly landscape with local wine taverns and hotel restaurants. It is especially inviting in spring (mid-April) during the pear tree blossom. At the end of the path, you reach the "Most Fruit Trail" and the Mostheuriger at Hörlesberg. From there, it goes downhill with a beautiful view northward to Ulmerfeld Castle, back to Neuhofen.
