The Hotel Refugium Lunz: It's all about the people.
A new member of the Formdepot family has grown in Lunz am See. The love of detail, the consistency of experience and the desire for new things find their common expression in the "Refugium Lunz". For the boutique hotel on Lunz's main square, a historic house from the 17th century was carefully revitalized.
The Refugium offers 23 rooms in upscale 4-star quality with many open spaces, some equipped with their own sauna, a restaurant with a view of the river and mountains and a lovingly renovated parlor from the 17th century.
A central theme plays the culinary with varied and high-quality products of the region, mindfully combined and prepared at the highest level. For initiators Joachim Mayr and Heinz Glatzl, the kitchen - as the heart of a house - plays a central role in their projects. This is also the case in the Refugium: instead of a classic hotel bar, a spacious salon kitchen with espresso bar, vinotheque, a store for hand-picked delicacies from the region and products from the hotel's own production was created. It will also provide space for workshops and cooking classes.
Two experienced hosts have been recruited to manage the hotel. Stefanie and Christian Metzger are leading the house with their warmth and professionalism as general manager and chef, respectively and they have found a team helping them to fill this special place with life.
