Seitenstetten
The market town of Seitenstetten lies in the "heart of the Mostviertel, surrounded by one of the most beautiful landscapes in Lower Austria, the Moststraße. It is above all the fruit trees that characterize this landscape. Small or large groups of pear and apple trees surround each of the typical square farmhouses, which blend harmoniously into the gently rolling hills.
The magnificently successful renovation of Seitenstetten Abbey, the many newly laid out squares and green areas and the floral decorations make for impressive moments for visitors. A visit to Seitenstetten is particularly recommended during Advent: the Seitenstetten Advent market in the abbey's Meierhof has everything a Christmas market on the Moststrasse should have.
