Zeillern

The musical community of Zeillern is located in a valley basin in the heart of the Mostviertel region, in the middle of a cultivated landscape that invites you to go hiking and cycling, especially in spring with its many blossoming fruit trees. The municipal area of Zeillern extends over a gently undulating landscape of 21.53 km² at around 280 m above sea level.

The town's fame is mainly due to the Schloss Hotel Zeillern training and seminar center. The castle is owned by the market town and has established itself as an important cultural and musical venue. Especially for weddings and music seminars, the Schloss Hotel Zeillern with its beautiful antique wedding halls is known far beyond the borders of the municipality.

As far as culinary delights are concerned, Schloss Hotel Zeillern leaves nothing to be desired in the conservatory with multi-purpose hall, which can accommodate around 500 guests, and in the idyllic castle courtyard. The 3-star hotel has 11 seminar rooms with the latest technology, 61 newly furnished seminar rooms and even wedding suites. The castle restaurant invites you to enjoy culinary delights with a variety of themes. Seminars and events of all kinds are perfectly organized by the castle team.

Since 2002, the Austrian Wind Music Association has officially declared our castle as its national training center. However, it is not just the Schloss Hotel Zeillern, but the whole town that lives and breathes music and so, in addition to events on the Schlossinsel, musicals are also held on the Schlosswiese. The newly designed castle island invites you to linger and relax on beautifully laid out footbridges by the water, and lavish celebrations are also held on it, from civil weddings to island parties in the evening.

The parish church of St. James, which was built in the Romantic style and has a beautifully carved altar, is well worth a visit. The Way of St. James passes directly through Zeillern, rooms for St. James are available in the parish hall and the Schloss Hotel Zeillern also offers pilgrims a special room rate.

A newly created inspirational path with a walking time of 1.5 to 2 hours invites you to walk and reflect. The trail comprises six stations with different themes and is suitable for individuals who want to take a break from everyday life and be inspired, as well as for parish groups, families and groups of friends. The individual stations were designed by the Amstetten glass artist Eva Haimberger and made in collaboration with the Josef Waser locksmith's shop and invite you to stop and reflect.
