Description
A particularly attractive and freely accessible bathing spot is located in Opponitz. The so-called "Ochsenloch" with its characteristic rocks offers plenty of space on the beach and the perfect depth of the river makes it ideal for swimming. There is a staging area nearby with barbecue facilities and furniture for relaxing.
The bathing area is also located directly on the Ybbstal cycle path and is perfect for refreshing heated cyclists' calves.
Those arriving by car can use the public parking lot at the waste collection center, just a few minutes' walk from the bathing area. Some parking spaces are available in the "Hofau" bend, right next to the bathing area.
