The trail leads from Vestenthal, with a brief, steep climb to Würzberg, continuing along farm roads to the hamlet of Buching. It crosses the “Petzlgraben,” passes Dorf an der Enns Castle, and winds through an avenue of cider pear trees toward the Staning Reservoir. Following the reservoir, the trail leads through Ennsau to the district of Unterburg. From there, it continues over the Brandnerberg to the district of Burg, then on through the hamlet of Reiterdorf back to Vestenthal.

There are several parking lots within the municipality. Please follow the signs.

Take the Haag highway exit, turn right toward Haag—toward Steyr, and follow the signs to Haidershofen

Take the Westbahn to St. Valentin Station, transfer to the regional train to Ramingdorf-Haidershofen, then take the bus to Haidershofen Ort

Haidershofen is not far from Steyr, a beautiful town on the Eisenstraße that you can visit after the tour. You can also stop by a Heuriger in Weistrach, at the Straußenkeller Stieblehner. You can also take a boat ride on the reservoir. (Aigner Brothers, Tel. 07254/76 61)
