Description
The 1,248 m high Muckenkogel and the 1,313 m high Hinteralm are among the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Lower Austria. The view stretches out over the Danube valley to the north and far into the Alps to the south. The Muckenkogel is particularly well developed with hospitable huts and well-marked hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty.
The Muckenkogel is also popular with ski tourers.
